Till date, our Joint-Commission accredited hospital has won numerous awards and certifications in delivering best-in-class health care in the San Francisco Bay Area.   Marin General Hospital currently has an opportunity for a Manager Outpatient Behavioral Health.   JOB SUMMARY   Manages, evaluates and supervises clinical practice, programs and projects in Outpatient Behavioral Health Services to achieve department goals, maintain quality patient care delivery and promote professional standards in accordance with hospital policy, The JC Outpatient Behavioral Health, CMS, and AABH Guidelines.  Responsibilities include: Outpatient Behavioral Health Older Adult and Adult Partial Hospitalization & Intensive Outpatient Services.  Maintains effective communication with Outpatient Behavioral Health Medical Directors, Department of Psychiatry and Community Care Providers.  Supervises Outpatient Behavioral Health multidisciplinary team of  LCSW,  RN, O.T. and clerical staff.  Assigns and reviews work, hiring, training, counseling on performance, and conducting performance evaluations and disciplinary actions. Collaborates with Managers of Psychiatric Nursing and Social Work Services to assure appropriate clinical supervision and adequate staffing needs. EDUCATION Masters Degree in Social Work/Welfare as required for licensure.   EXPERIENCE   At least five (5) years of clinical experience in Outpatient Behavioral Health and/or Inpatient Psychiatry. Recent and progressively more responsible management experience leading to demonstrated fiscal, human resources, and operational efficiency competence.   PREREQUISITE SKILLS Demonstrated effective verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to manage change through collaborative and positive leadership skills. Ability to successfully manage stress for self in an intermittently stressful environment. Demonstrated evidence of continuing professional development. Demonstrated skill in the areas of psychiatric patient evaluation, treatment and disposition planning in medical settings. Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment to develop, promote and provide multidisciplinary psychiatric services in accordance with the philosophy and standards of the hospital, clinical social work, and psychiatric social services. Demonstrated application of knowledge of state and federal regulations as it applies to psychiatric Partial Hospitalization & Intensive Outpatient Services with the ability to interpret and guide professional staff in this area. Demonstrated professional leadership skills Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain collaborative advisory relationships with internal departments and community agencies in the public and private sector.   LICENSE/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION Current California licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Obtain and maintain current certification in BLS at Healthcare Provider Level. Maintain any other certifications required of staff supervised. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Provides input on Hospital's strategic initiative and develops tactical strategies for the economic success of the Hospital, change management, organizational re-engineering and nontraditional approaches to organization and problem solving. Manages employees, develops standards of performance, allocates resources, and approves personnel actions. Provides feedback and coaching to staff to ensure competencies and appropriate professional growth and development. Develops Outpatient Behavioral Health Services's goals and objectives by establishing and implementing policies and procedures for its operations. Participates in developing Outpatient Behavioral Health Services's operating budgets and ensuring that budgets are sufficient and maintained according to unit needs & requirements.  Directs the preparation and maintenance of various management reports.  Prepares periodic reports, as required. Ensures that the Outpatient Behavioral Health Services complies with Hospital policies and objectives and with regulatory requirements.  Participates in Hospital committee meetings as required.  Attends and serves as Hospital representative on professional/civic service organizations, as appropriate. Initiates and coordinates interaction and activities with other departments, agencies, and individuals. Evaluates the quality and appropriateness of Outpatient Behavioral Health Services programs, actions, policies and procedures.  Keeps abreast of current laws, rules and regulations as pertains to the treatment of the mentally ill and all other special needs patients.  In consultation with the Medical Director of Outpatient Behavioral Health and Director of Behavioral Health,  provides staff direction in the interpretation and implementation of pertinent CMS,  JC and AABH Standards as pertains to Outpatient Psychiatry. Develops strategies and forums to build and maintain community outreach and resources for patients with high risk psychosocial & psychiatric problems and needs.  Incorporates current research, new interventions, and technological advances into clinical practice as these become valid through evidence-based criteria. Works closely and collaboratively with Risk Management to prevent, minimize, or correct risks to patients and staff based on hospital policy and procedures as well as participate in investigations and reporting process for high riskevents. Ensures the efficient and cost effective performance of assigned Outpatient Behavioral Health Services staff to support or provide quality patient care. Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise. 9175-ad101

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
