Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services

JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the operational, services, and fiscal management of outpatient and inpatient Diagnostic Imaging Services including, but not limited to ultrasound, mammography, CT, MRI, nuclear technology, special procedures, electrophysiology laboratory, management of imaging technology, and outpatient medical services (MOIC).  This position directs, manages, evaluates, and supervises personnel, activities, programs, and projects in patient care centers, and achieves departmental goals, maintains quality patient care delivery; promotes professional standards in accordance with hospital policy, The Joint Commission standards, and Title XXII and California regulations. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, best practices, and procedures.  This position works with the Executive Director Of Ancillary Services to formulate strategic initiatives and map out tactics to institute innovative delivery systems that improve all radiologic services.  The Director of Diagnostic Imaging Services will in collaborations with physicians and administration for program growth.  The position provides for the delivery of efficient and effective professional clinical care within the above areas. EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management or healthcare related field from an accredited university, or equivalent experiencepreferred Prefer Certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART)Masters Degree in Nursing Administration or related health care field preferred EXPERIENCE: Requires a minimum of five (5) years experience in a Director level position, at an acute care hospital setting. Additional experience within Imaging Services.  LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:  Current Certification as a Radiological Technologist in California (CRT), and current member in good standing with American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT), or Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California Current Basic Life Support Provider Advanced Cardiac Life Support (preferred) RESPONSIBILITIES: Directs inpatient and outpatient services in an efficient and cost effective manner.  Assures the provision of quality patient care through the implementation of proficient patient process management, service integration, and the effective recruitment, retention, and development of staff Manages employees, either directly or through Managers/Coordinator.  Develops standards of performance, allocated resources, and approves personnel actions.  Provides feedback and coaching to staff to ensure appropriate professional growth and development Develops Group's operating budgets and ensures that budgets are maintained Consults with and advises the Executive Director of Ancillary Services and Medical Director on activities related to clinical operations, quality improvement, and risk management activities of the units; implements changes in policy, programs, and physical resources required to achieve hospital objectives.  Provides input on Hospital's strategic initiative and develops tactical strategies for the economic success of the Hospital, change management, organizational re-engineering and nontraditional approaches to organization and problem solving Ensures that professional staff is able to provide direct and indirect patient care and clinical services to the patient population of the said services, and that the number of staff is sufficient to accomplish these goals Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of patient care services Maintains compliance with the Radiation Safety Program Ensures compliance with the requirements of The Joint Commission, Title 22, CA DHS Radiologic Health Branch, ACS, ACR, and ACC Ensures therapeutic and diagnostic care policies and procedures are followed Works in a cross functional capacity to ensure integration of comprehensive services Reviews and maintains current knowledge of inpatient/outpatient billing practices and coding procedures to ensure maximum reimbursement for all departments Meets regularly with representatives of numerous outside agencies to coordinate pre-hospital care, implements and evaluates disaster plans, provides student training, and prepares and institutes new projects Orients and provides in-service training and continuing education requirements of all personnel in the department Continually assesses and improves the performance of care in services provided Prepares departmental goals, objectives, and budgets in accordance with the hospital policies Participates in Hospital committee meetings as required Attends and serves as Hospital representative on professional/civic service organizations, as appropriate Initiates and coordinates interaction and activities with other departments, agencies, and individuals Maintains professional growth and development through seminars, workshops, and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise Other duties as assigned Job Number 9109-CE101

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
